In addition to her work as a designer, over the last decade Tina has been a committed learner and organizer for anti-racism and anti-oppression in many forms. She has participated in trainings, workshops, community spaces, and nonviolent direct action in support of immigrant justice; the NODAPL movement at Standing Rock; and, since the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Mutual Aid project in her city. As a white-embodied, cisgender woman currently living in Tiwa Territory (now known as New Mexico), she recognizes that these issues are connected and rooted in the settler colonial project upon which the United States was founded. She aims to bring this awareness to her work as a designer and as a member of her community, both locally and nationally. She lives with her spouse, her daughter, and two sweet dogs and a sometimes-cranky cat. She loves to cook and share food with friends; swim; garden (sometimes); and serve her community.
